\n Holland America Line has teamed up with the iconic American airline Pan Am to launch an exciting new cruise that will appeal to aviation enthusiasts and travelers who enjoy extended itineraries.<\/span>\n <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n Set to embark on October 30, 2027, this 28-day cruise celebrates the centenary of Pan Am’s inaugural flight in October 1927. As part of Holland America\u2019s \u201cLegendary Voyages\u201d series, the cruise will sail from Miami aboard the Zuiderdam, visiting 18 ports across Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean, including several historic Pan Am destinations. Tickets for this unique journey go on sale today, October 21, 2025, at 1 p.m. Eastern.<\/span>\n <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n Pan Am, short for Pan American World Airways, ceased operations in 1991 but was renowned for its exceptional service and pioneering spirit. In its early days, the airline operated Clippers\u2014flying boats that took off and landed on water\u2014traveling from port to port in a manner reminiscent of modern cruise itineraries.<\/span>\n <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n The collaboration between Pan Am and Holland America is part of a broader resurgence of interest in the airline’s legacy. In 2025, an aviation consulting firm announced plans to revive Pan Am as a scheduled airline, while a European hospitality group revealed intentions to launch the Pan Am Hotel brand in 2028. Additionally, Hilton is set to open the Pan Am Hotel by Hilton in Los Angeles in 2026.<\/span>\n <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

While it includes a stop at RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay\u2014Holland America and Carnival Cruise Line\u2019s private island in the Bahamas\u2014it also visits less common ports like Port-of-Spain and Santa Marta.<\/span>\n <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

    \n \u201cWhat\u2019s really unique is that these destinations, many of which were part of Pan Am\u2019s original Clipper routes, are much harder to reach from Miami and simply aren\u2019t accessible on a shorter cruise,\u201d said Robert de Bruin, Holland America Line\u2019s director of deployment and itinerary planning.<\/span>\n <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
