Recent Commitment of Traders data revealed that the managed money sector in cotton futures and options has escalated their bearish positions as of September 23rd<\/sup>. This increase amounted to 2,943 contracts, bringing their net short position to 62,004 contracts.<\/p>\n Don\u2019t Miss a Day: <\/span> Export Sales data released on Thursday indicated that a total of 4.059 million running bales (RB) of cotton were sold by September 18, marking an 18% decline compared to the previous year. This figure represents 37% of the USDA’s export target, falling short of the average pace of 53%.<\/p>\n In Thursday\u2019s online auction conducted by The Seam, there were 1,561 sales recorded at an average price of 59.3 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index also saw a decrease, dropping 45 points to 77.70 cents as of September 25. Additionally, ICE cotton stocks remained steady on the same date, with certified stock levels recorded at 15,474 bales.
