Wednesday’s ETF with Unusual Volume: COPP

The Sprott Copper Miners ETF is experiencing a notable surge in trading activity this Wednesday afternoon, with over 152,000 shares exchanged. This figure significantly surpasses the three-month average volume of approximately 30,000 shares. As a result, shares of COPP have risen by about 5.1% during the trading session.

Among the ETF’s components, Trilogy Metals is leading the charge, trading up approximately 5.2% with over 31.6 million shares changing hands. Freeport-McMoRan is also performing well, showing a gain of about 5.2% on a volume exceeding 11.4 million shares. Meanwhile, Hudbay Minerals stands out as the top performer of the day, boasting an impressive increase of around 8.1%. In contrast, the iShares MSCI India ETF is lagging behind, trading down by about 0.4% compared to its peers within the Sprott Copper Miners ETF.
