Surviving A Very Unproductive Week

Hey everyone! I just had a rather unproductive week. With Mrs. RB40 off in California visiting her parents for a month, I found myself spiraling into a state of inactivity. To add to that, my ceramics class is on break until October, which meant I didn’t have any scheduled commitments. I barely left the house, and to be honest, I didn’t even make it to the gym. I was feeling a bit under the weather and, let’s face it, a little lazy. RB40Jr also had his share of setbacks; he hurt his ankle and skipped both Ultimate practices and Jiu-Jitsu class. All in all, it was a week filled with unproductivity, and the only thing I managed to accomplish was creating a Joe-shaped dent in the couch.

That’s me, except I’m on a couch instead of a chair. Meanwhile, the state of the nation feels chaotic. The current administration seems to be attacking free speech, immigrants, vaccines, science, education, clean energy, and anyone who doesn’t conform to their viewpoint. It’s a wild situation, but it’s what the people voted for. We were promised cheaper groceries, yet everything seems to be more expensive than ever. Just the other day, I paid $4.49 per gallon for gasoline. Where’s the $2 gas we were promised? The person who claimed things were getting cheaper clearly hasn’t been grocery shopping or filling up their car. Oh well. This is fine.

Next week, I plan to get off the couch and be more productive. At least I managed to keep us fed and did a load of laundry!
