One of my earliest creative endeavors on this blog was a comic strip I crafted in 2020, titled “Comic Strip – Why Invest in REITs“. This project was not only enjoyable but also a unique way to delve into the subject matter, and it remains a post I cherish.
Since then, I’ve often pondered how to breathe new life into that original story. For my latest video, I decided to revisit that classic father-son comic and elevate it further. This transformation was made possible by remarkable advancements in AI technology. I utilized Google’s cutting-edge AI image generation model, Nano Banana, which allowed me to create consistent characters in various poses and settings. Additionally, I explored a range of AI tools that can animate these characters, giving them the ability to speak. My aim was to make the narrative feel even more vibrant and engaging.
The animated comic strip presents a classic Singaporean father-son “money talk,” narrated in Singlish. It serves as a lighthearted introduction to the topic, discussing some of the key advantages and disadvantages of REITs. You can watch the full video here:
